Re: German coastal and rail mounted guns

RF,

You are correct. The Germans had that control in the early stages of war so they came with this artillery solution. Also they have the experience of WWI where these devices were usefull. Also in WWII, against the soviets they used them in Sevastopol sucessfully.

Re: Obama´s mosque

I insist: Obama is a communist muslim. A great deal of American voters think that too, maybe you don;t which is why democracy is so imperfect.

Good to be aboard the USS Growler (they now let you take photos which some years ago wasnt' allowed) and the USS Intrepid. A great impression for the excelent 9/11 Memorial at the WTC and the impressive...

lwd: Karl, you really need to get your perscriptions refilled and start taking them again. I wasn't even refering to you so I don't know the need to insult me. But you insult too often in your trollistic ways which indicates your intolerance to those that do not share your way of seeing things. You...

Re: German coastal and rail mounted guns

Some years ago I built an 1:35 Trumpeter model of the Leopold, the 11" which is now in Aberdeen, Maryland. Great stuff. Now, that's nothing: there is the Dora which model needs a garage to fit in.

lwd: Does it? Care to site a source? I can see it in a few instances where for instance the projectile impacts multiple obstructions and ends up with say a base first impact but that's got to be very rare. When have you brought up you sources to support your claims? Bring up your own sources and th...

Byron,

RF is refering to THE commander (i.e. the bohemian corporal), not the rest of commanders that were superior to all the rest of commanders of WWII put together... and I am thinking in Manstein alone...

RF: Britain I'm afraid isn't so cheap, we have money that is worth something. England's survival lays in it's independence from continental idiocy. Any person with something over his shoulders knows that you cannot unite what is separate by nature. It's obvious. Maybe Britain could be, again, the s...

Alex: Hey, what's up with your vacation in Europe ? Are you still coming ? Not this year: have a promise to my family and taking them to New York, New Jersey and Washigton this summer. If Europe still exists for 2013 then I will go there (have to go to the Valley of the Fallen in Spain and Poenari ...
