Several journalists (e.g., Novak CNN) have quoted the Iron Chancellor lately to describe the US Congress of 2005. Apparently Otto von Bismarck had said repeatedly and in various version: "Je weniger die Leute davon wissen, wie Würste und Gesetze gemacht werden, desto besser schlafen sie." "The less the people know about how sausages and laws are made, the better they will sleep." Sometimes he referred to the people as the "little man on the street" etc. Having been in slaughterhouses in the past for my research on kidney diseases (Google: rudofsky sheep), I really know what he means. But I am having 4 different kinds of sausage tonight!

Indeed...well, it's the proof that the Iron Chancellor wiseness is still actual after 120 years...
