Prinz Eugen bow trim tank?

So on one of my other forums, this picture surfaced. No one seems to know what it is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with keeping the boat from pitching wildly in a storm... I've highlighted it as follows: Red open to sea.
Green: part of the tube closed by valve.
Purple: Free flooding space
Blue: venturi connection or something similar.

Anyone got a solid answer? Thanks much in advance.

Hi. No, what you coloured was the tube for the pole of the paravane rigging, you can find this in a recent thread.

Thanks for the info. I'll make sure it gets disseminated properly.
