Obviously the Belgrano v a KGv would be no contest......

What would be more interesting would be if the Argentine invasion/landing forces were intercepted off West Falkland just prior to their landings by the KGV.

I would think they would, however there were two smaller escort ships accompanying Belgrano and they would have to be reckoned with as well.

The battle would not be determined by naval gunfire. Didn't both sides have missiles? In any case, the British would employ submarines just as in the actual event.

Submarines would certainly be the preferred weapon of the British. Especially as the Argentinians would be left guessing as to how much firepower they really have.....

Thanks for that, I would presume that the Belfast would have also had an escort of a couple of frigates or destroyers, I suppose it would then be a walkover for the RN
